Another Child

Matt doesn't get in front of the camera very often so you would never guess I have another child sometimes. I took some of him last night as he was playing on the computer. He is usually willing to let me take pictures but he isn't often around.

Dance Masters of Virginia

We spent this past weekend in Ocean City, Maryland for a dance competition. It was a very long, tiring weekend, but I think Savanna had fun. She danced all weekend, how could she not have fun? I enjoyed just getting away for a couple of days. Ocean City wasn't nearly as cold as it has been in past years so that was an added bonus. Still too cold to go down to the beach though. The wind was blowing so hard we got quite a show when we crossed the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel. The water was in huge swells just like you see in the movies - think Perfect Storm. Later I realized that Brad was on a ship just about a hundred miles off shore. He told me the carrier is so big they really don't notice in movement too much though. Here are a few pics from this weekend.

First snow in 4 years

We have been back in Virginia since December of 2003 and the first winter we were here we had a pretty good snow. We were living on base at the time and we enjoyed all the snow and ice in the trees. Since then we haven't had any thing that has stuck at all. Well, our weathermen all hyped up a "snow event" for Saturday and this is what we got - "dusting - nada". The pictures are the most snow we had in our neck of the woods although I heard that Newport News got a nice bit. I'm still waiting for that snow that will get me out in the yard making a snowman!
