Not much happening

I haven't posted in a while. I am staying busy with my photography. We are all really excited about our upcoming trip to Tennessee for Thanksgiving. And in 23 days Brad will be home for Christmas! I don't like to post without pictures so I will post the last three pictures that I sent to Brad. I was practicing with a new gadget before a portrait session.

Our Newest Brown

Brad's brother Ben and his wife Leah have been on a long, emotional and often painful journey to this moment. I don't have the space to tell the whole story but I will say that it is a very powerful story of God's guidance and blessing. On Monday, they officially through the legal system became parents of Thomas Shepherd Brown. Although, we all know they were his God-given parents at the moment of conception. I had the privilege of being there in the courtroom in Pickens County South Carolina, when the judge made it official in the eyes of the law. Leah's mom and her step-dad were there as well as myself and Ryan. It was a very emotional day, especially for a wuss like me!

Quick! Somebody get this woman a grandchild!!

I was sitting in my bedroom yesterday and I could hear Roxie getting frustrated with something. She makes some little growling noises and whines when she gets frustrated. These noises are often followed by the sound of a trash can hitting the floor. But, this time she was chasing a moth and it had gotten in the corner of the window just out of her reach . At one point she sat down and looked at me like "Could you get it for me mommy?" After looking at all the pictures that I have of her and Lexie, I realize I REALLY need a grandchild. Unfortunately none of my kids are at that point, so I will have to wait and take more pictures of the dogs :-)

Roxie has the saddest eyes when Savanna leaves. Savanna has a crazy schedule right now with dance, full time school, working at Food Lion and also working (teaching) at the dance studio. She always says good bye to Roxie and then Rox drops her head and puts on the biggest, saddest puppy-dog eyes that she can muster.
